Do you have immigrant background and consider women’s and girls’ rights important? Would you like to share your own experience and thus promote understanding between different cultures? Your are welcome to join the Ambassadors´ network for the Ecumenical Responsibility Week!
The Responsibility Week is a human rights campaign of all Finnish churches and many Christian organizations. In 2017, the campaign’s topic is ”With my voice”. The purpose of the campaign is to promote the importance of gender equality and help girls and women to raise their voices.
The objective of the Ambassadors’ work is to increase understanding of girls’ and women’s condition in developing countries and countries affected by conflict, as well as of challenges immigrant women face in Finland. The campaign aims at creating space for mutual learning between the Ambassadors and the general public.
Ambassadors will receive a one-day training in Spring 2017, and the Campaign Coordinator will support them throughout their assignment. The Ambassadors will not paid, but the Finnish Ecumenical Council will reimburse costs related to the visits.
As an Ambassador of the Responsibility Week, you:
